Their product competes directly with Housecall Pro, Jobber, and ServiceTitan, often beating them on both pricing and features including route optimization, an advanced customer portal, and a built-in AI support assistant. Their buyers are business owners. Founders and operators of small-to-mid-size contracting companies across the U.S. - people who are busy running jobs. That meant outbound was the only reliable way to build pipeline at scale.
Client's Challenge.
Before partnering with A-Sales, Job Closer's growth was driven almost entirely by inbound. They had strong demo-to-close rates - around 20% for HVAC and as high as 50% for electricians - but weren't generating enough at-bats. They needed volume.
- No Outbound Infrastructure: Job Closer had never run a structured outbound motion. No cold email sequences, no dedicated calling operation, no enrichment or targeting systems. Everything had to be built from scratch.
- A Non-Technical Buyer Persona: Their target prospect - a contracting company owner running a crew of 5-50, doesn't respond to typical outreach. Messaging had to be simple, pain-driven, and immediately relevant to daily operational headaches like scheduling chaos, lost profitability, and back-office overhead.
- Prospect Awareness Gap: Early on, some booked prospects showed up to demos without fully understanding what Job Closer does. Improving pre-call awareness and framing became critical to maximizing the value of every meeting booked.

A-Sales partnered with Job Closer to build a fully managed, multi-channel outbound engine - cold email, cold calling, and signal-based targeting - designed to flood their calendar with qualified demos.
Phase 1: ICP Definition & List Building
A-Sales built segmented prospect lists using a dual-source approach: Google Maps scraping for local contractor discovery, combined with Apollo and A-Leads for direct access to owner-level contact data. Clay was layered on top to score and qualify each company - using AI prompts to verify whether a business genuinely fit the ICP (e.g., confirming they actually perform HVAC or plumbing services vs. general contracting).
Targeting started with HVAC and plumbing companies across the U.S. (excluding CA, NY, and IL), with electricians added after early data showed strong close-rate potential against competitors like Jobber and ServiceTitan.
Phase 2: Multi-Channel Outbound Execution
Campaigns ran simultaneously across cold email and cold calling. Email sequences were built with role-specific, pain-driven copy - messaging around route optimization savings, back-office cost reduction (positioned as replacing a $55K employee), and competitive switching angles against Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan. SDRs ran daily calling blocks, qualifying prospects live and booking directly onto the sales calendar.
Phase 3: Conversion & Show-Rate Optimization
To maximize every booked meeting, A-Sales implemented a layered follow-up and reminder system: three email reminders (48 hours, 24 hours, and 4 hours before), two SMS reminders (4 hours and 30 minutes before), plus LinkedIn connection requests from the sales rep. Rescheduling and cancellation were fully managed by A-Sales, taking the operational burden off Job Closer's entirely.
Pre-event campaigns were also deployed to book in-person meetings at trade shows and expos, with dedicated nurture sequences to drive show-up rates.
